Andrew has worked in the hospitality industry since 2003 in such places as Brazil, Texas, Arizona, North Dakota, and now Michigan. He has always had an interest in wine, so in 2007 he took his passion for wine more serious an earned his “Certified Specialist of Wine” and then went on to achieve his “Level 1 Sommelier Certification”.
Andrew has helped on opening restaurants in Arizona, North Dakota, and Texas, providing staff training and developing wine lists. He came to Michigan in 2014 with his wife and worked at the restaurant “eve” as head bartender and wine steward (until “eve” had to suspend operations).
“Alan Collins (former Paesano Wine Director) was the first wine industry person I met when I came to Ann Arbor,” says Andrew. ”After I learned he was moving on, he encouraged me to speak with Mike Roddy about the position. After many conversations we both decided it would be a good fit. I am very excited to be working in such an established restaurant with a great reputation and an amazing wine program.”
