Sun 12pm-10pm (Dinner menu only)
We are offering something completely different for our annual fall excursion abroad...FRANCE.
Yes, instead of visiting another wonderful region of Italy as we normally do each fall, we are inviting you to travel with us from Paris to Normandy and back on one of AmaWaterways loveliest ships, the AmaLegro. The dates for the trip are October 2-9, 2014, with a pre-trip extension to Paris on September 29-October 1, 2014.
The 7- night Seine River voyage through the heart of Normandy includes stops at such beautiful places as Monet’s Garden in Giverny, the charming harbor town of Honfleur, the cathedral town of Rouen with its tragic connection to Joan of Arc, and Napoleon and Josephine’s home, Chateau Malmaiosn. The highlight for many though, in this 70th anniversary year of the allied D-Day invasion, will be a full day visit to the beaches of Normandy to either the American sector of Omaha and Utah beaches or to Gold, Juno, and Sword beaches in the British and Canadian sectors. If this important piece of history is not for you, we will offer the option to visit some of Normandy’s beautiful villages, along the “Cider Road”.
We will be offering a 3-day pre-trip extension to the incredibly beautiful city of Paris. We are still finalizing the Paris details which will include accommodations in a centrally located 4-star hotel; a driving tour of the city; a visit to the Palace and Gardens of Versailles and either the Louvre or the D’Orsay Museum: and plenty of time to shop and explore on your own.
River cruising is a very popular way to travel. It’s relaxing, you only unpack once, and you receive value for your money. Just take a look at the attached list of features and itinerary. The ship features an observation deck, a whirlpool, lounge chairs, and a walking track on the Sun Deck; a lounge area and bar, a gift shop, an outdoor dining area, a massage and hair salon, and a fitness area on the Violin Deck; and the main restaurant on the Cello Deck.

...and a few photos.
Will have new menus and other updates coming soon. Hope all is well.
