Italian Lakes: Fall 2008

Landscapes of the Italian Lakes
A Guided Trip to Italy brought to you by your “good friends”
at Paesano’s Restaurant and Cultural Encounters.

We’ve teamed up with our good friends at Cultural Encounters again to offer you a trip of a lifetime. Please join us as we take a small group of people for an intimate guided tour of this most wonderful country...Italy, and live it up!

This year we will travel to the north of Italy to the breathtakingly beautiful Italian Lakes, nestled under the Alps. Travel dates are September 13-21. We will stay 7 nights in Stresa on Lake Maggiore and will do daily excursions from there. The itinerary will include such gorgeous places as the Borromean Islands, Lake Orta, Locarno (just over the border in Switzerland), Como, and Bellagio. In addition to wonderful guided sightseeing trips we’ll sample some of the finest wines and foods of this region, while experiencing its wonderful culture and history.

The package will include accommodations, round-trip air fare, transfers, most meals, receptions, gratuities, tours, and of course-good company. We will have our own personal guides for group tours but you’ll also have the opportunity to explore on your own.

This is a truly beautiful region of Italy with lovely flower-filled towns set against the sparkling waters of the Lakes and the dramatic Alps Mountains as a backdrop. The region is famous for its opulent villas with beautiful gardens attached, making it a very popular area with Italian aristocracy and politicians and celebrities of all kinds (including George Clooney and Tom Cruise). We are also offering an optional 3-day extension to Venice.

Due to the fluctuation of the US dollar and the Euro, prices are still being confirmed. More details coming soon. Travel with us to the Italian Lakes and experience the best in sight-seeing, cuisine, and accommodations that this region has to offer. To reserve a seat or for more information, call our travel coordinators at Cultural Encounters at 734-327-1931 or email Suzan Alexander at suzanalxdr@aol.com. Ciao!
