Rome & Sardinia ≠ 2015

Our annual guided tour to Italy will take us to Rome this fall, with an extension to Sardinia for those interested. We will spend 7 nights in Rome and an optional 4≠night stay to Sardinia.

The dates are September 9 ≠ 17, 2015 (or September 21 if doing the extension).

Itinerary

At this time we are still finalizing the itinerary but it will include:
  • Walking tours of ancient and historic Rome.
  • A visit to St. Peterís Basilica and the Vatican Museums.
  • A day trip to see the impressive frescoes and mosaics of Ostia Antica, an archeological site that was the seaport for ancient Rome.
  • A day trip to the walled city of Viterbo, one of the best preserved medieval towns in central Italy.
  • A day trip to the ruins of Hadrianís Villa and the magnificent gardens of Villa díEste in Tivoli, which has over a hundred fountains including one large enough to walk behind.
  • Free time to explore the city on oneís own.

The time in Sardinia will include visits to some historic sights and time to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beaches and resort towns before heading home.

*Group size is limited, so act quickly to reserve space. Once the first group fills, we will take names on a waiting list to see if there is sufficient demand to organize a second group departure.
