David Young is a very familiar name in the catering and culinary circles in and around Ann Arbor. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Chef Young was born and raised in the Bay area, he moved to Michigan in 1990. He became executive chef at The Mayflower Hotel in Plymouth for three and a half years before becoming the executive chef at U-M Michigan League in 1993. Prior to coming to Ann Arbor, his family had owned restaurants in Kansas City, MO and in Oakland, CA. "I love my family and the culinary industry, but my son Zach and daughter Maddie are my pride and joy."
